The training of Public Health Nurses and Community Health Practitioners, Midwives and General nurses at diploma level aims at enhancing skills knowledge and positive attitudes necessary in the provision of public health and community health services to individuals and communities.

A one year Community Health programmes has been designed to cater for science teachers, social scientist and other health practitioners as well. The generis Public in Health Diploma attracted double trained nurses. This trend is changing world over as the public health nurses are now bachelor’s degree holders.
